Jordan Ray, born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland, grew up alongside two brothers and a sister in the small town of Delmar. In middle school, he constantly found innovative ways to make money—whether it was shoveling snow, selling candy, or reselling items on eBay. He took pride in knowing that his hard work paid off.
During high school at Delmar High, Jordan became deeply passionate about creating a sportswear company, now known as SURACI Sportswear. He spent his time both during and after school studying marketing, business economics, and designing footwear and clothing. SURACI became more than just a business; it was an opportunity for him to inspire others. This realization led him to discover that his purpose in life was to help and motivate people in their personal and professional endeavors.
Understanding the importance of marketing, Jordan began photographing and filming commercials to promote his brand. From there, he realized his passion for film production and photography, leading him to explore the world of media. What started as a hobby—filming commercials for fun—soon turned into paid opportunities, and he eventually scaled his passion into a full-service production company.
In 2019, Jordan sought to expand his reach and inspire more people. That year, he joined Inspire One Group as a media producer, where he worked on filming TV series and developing marketing plans. Over time, he advanced to the role of Executive Vice President, a position he held until 2024.
His love for his community led him to join the City of Salisbury as a Media Specialist in the Mayor’s Office. This role allowed him to contribute to positive change within the city by developing initiatives, assisting in event planning, and shaping Salisbury’s public narrative through media.
Beyond his professional roles, Jordan remains committed to supporting and uplifting others. He provides workshops at his studio, The Hub SBY, hosts Think Tank Meetings—which bring together organizations and individuals to discuss city improvements and collaborative solutions—engages in speaking engagements at local schools and organizations, and supports various initiatives that drive positive change.
